TEQUILAS CASA MEXICANA,
"A new season for a long-standing restaurant."
This is a family story, and it is also the story of a community, a story of our times. Let’s imagine what happens when we rewrite a migration story through building a space to appreciate the value of the land, of the ancestral knowledge, of the encounter between cultures, of sharing as a FAMILy and coming together to create.
In 1986, David Suro founded a Mexican restaurant in Philadelphia, driven by a deep passion for his roots and a desire to introduce authentic Mexican cuisine to the city. Over the years, the restaurant has evolved into more than just a dining establishment—it has become a cultural bridge, (WE LIKE TO CALL IT GUADALA-DELPHIA) offering a connection to Mexican heritage and history. From 1986 to 2024, it has stood as a place where patrons are invited to reflect on the rich stories of immigrant families who have contributed not only to their local communities but to the fabric of the entire country. Through their treasured gastronomic traditions, DAVID AND HIS CHILDREN have shared their culture and passion, turning the restaurant into a welcoming home for the celebration of Mexican identity and flavors,, AND SPIRITS.
